I am excited to have finally got a chance to start on this piece it has been mocking me for a while now while I worked through a couple of shows and other pieces that needed to get done first. I have a long ways to go but at least it is going.

I have started a page on BlueCanvas.com it is a wonderful artist community site and magazine where you can go to se some of my work. Its is a fun site where you can also order prints, cards, skins etc.... of many different artist.

I had a show last month during which people commented that I should do more trees. I managed to do a small piece titled branches but could not find the inspiration to do a larger piece. As I tried to come up with an image I would like to do my mind keep drifting back to the giving tree by Shel Silverstein. I thought about how the child in the story may respond if he stumbled across to the giving tree as adult given the different life experiences and strains of being an adult. 

I will be having one more show at the Grotto Gallery. It will be this Friday January 20, 6-9 PM

This is the initial drawing for my new recycled mixed media piece tentatively titled return to the giving tree. People keep telling me I should do more trees which got me thinking about what exactly is it that we connect with regards to trees. I am still not sure what the answer is for me but my mind quickly turned to the story of the giving tree. I think I will be drawing in the rest of the stump as I think it is a little to hard to tell what is going on.
